    The U.S. Department of Energy established seven regional CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships (CHP TAPs) to promote and assist in transforming the market for combined heat and power, including waste heat to power and district energy, throughout the United States.

    • The International District Energy Association (IDEA) is a 1800-member non-profit organization that has been providing technical training, peer exchange and consumer education and outreach on district energy for over 100 years. IDEA and the U.S. DOE CHP TAPs are working together to foster the success of existing and new district energy systems across the country.
